Wunder Audio PEQ 1RThe Wunder Audio PEQ 1R is the 19" rack mount version of the PEQ1. This preamp is a fully Class-A discrete, inductor based 1970's-style mic-pre/equalizer. The design imploys propietary, custom designed mic, line and output transformers made in the UK. These transformers are made using the same winding machines that were used 34 years ago for the Allotrope modules that were custom built for John Paul Jones. Custom laminations of nickel, iron and colbolt are used to get the vintage sound. These transformers allow the Wunder PEQ 1R to achieve a fat vintage sound with virtually no phase shift.
