The GTQ2mkIII is an incredible mic preamp that has all the character that you would expect from the vintage 1073’s. While not a clone of a 1073, it is more of an evolved design. When asked about the GTQ’s roots, Geoff Tanner explains, “A Neve influence has to be expected. Heaven’s above, we are ex-Neve designers! Who would better know the failings of a much-copied original and want to make something better?” The GTQ delivers two channels of discrete, Class-A preamp with EQ, and lots of iron on the front and back end!
